Finals....even in the woods!
Today starts the day the students put all of their learning over the past several weeks into practice. All of the lessons on camping skills and leadership and navigation and community and judgement and decision making and you name it will be utilized. Over the course of the next few days, the students will be traveling by themselves. The instructors will give them a starting point and an ending point where they are to meet and then the group is left to come up with their travel plan for each day. They will be meeting up with instructors at 9am on Thursday. So be praying that the group works well together and makes good decisions and above all, shows the love of Christ to each other.
(*Note: when we say by themselves, typically this just means that the instructors aren't in the direct vicinity....they are typically either shadowing the group from behind, or going in front of the group to the end location where they will all meet up. They will have communication capabilities with the instructors in case of an emergency.)

Here's a picture from the group moving higher up to the lake in the cover shot- aptly named Turquoise Lake.
