The Ministry Apprenticeship Program (MAP) is a one-year or beyond ministry residency designed to equip the next generation of leaders for faithful, effective ministry. Our goal is to prepare emerging leaders to serve the church and the world for the rest of their lives.

HIGHLIGHTS

Launch with CCO New Ministry Staff Training (June 2026)

Spiritual formation retreat

Move to apprenticeship location

Regular training (spiritual formation, discernment, contextual ministry, fundraising) 

Participate in CCO Staff rhythms (Better Together; the Jubilee conference)

Mutual discernment throughout

Formal discernment (Spring 2027)

WHAT APPRENTICES CAN EXPECT

CULTIVATE MINISTRY SKILLS

Apprentices will be mentored in contextualized applications of the CCO Campus Ministry Strategy with the opportunity to utilize their gifts in service of the mission. 
Spiritual formation
SPIRITUAL FORMATION

Apprentices will participate in ongoing spiritual formation/direction, individually and collectively across the year.
Communal learning
COMMUNAL LEARNING

Apprentices will form a learning community through communal living.
Vocational discernment
VOCATIONAL DISCERNMENT

Apprentices will walk alongside one another and mentors as they actively discern a vocational calling.
