They're on their way!
Family and friends,
We're writing to you from the Miami airport. We started off our morning at 2:00am, packed all our stuff up and left for the Pittsburgh airport at 3:00am. We're currently 6 hours into our 7 hr layover. We've filled our time with card games, Uno, chinese food, and some naps.
Last night and during our layover we've had the opportunity to talk about the importance of loving others which is a key focus during this trip. We've also taken time to reflect and journal on Colossians 3: 12-14:
"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all of these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity."
We are focusing on what it means to embrace a different culture and the deeper meaning of traveling. We have about an hour untill we board our next flight to Lima, and the next time we write to you, we'll be in Peru!
