Preparing to Experience Peru
On Sunday morning of Jubilee 2025, Sam Van Eman—one of this year's Peru instructors— stood in front of the hundreds of college students present and talked about the Experience Peru trip.
He gave the history of the CCO going to Peru—the first trip in 2011 and five more trips throughout the following years—and how the pandemic and then political instability impacted our ability to return for more than seven years. Of the relationships that we created over the years and how we're looking forward to re-establishing those relationships this year, when we send a group of 13 students and three CCO staff back to Peru for three weeks this May.
Then he invited the students who were present to come up on stage (nine of the 13 were there!) and the emcee for the weekend was able to pray for them and the trip. What a blessing to be covered in prayer for an experience like this by hundreds of your fellow college students!
