A brief trek update
This update was on their last hike day before Machu Picchu....
The last stretch of the group's hike before Aguas Clients (also known as Machu Picchu town) was flat and alongside the railway that brings thousands of tourists into town on a daily basis. Because of this, it is very conducive for conversations.
In some ways, it felt like the end of their hike, as they had completed the really hard mountain portion and also because they were now down to about 9,000ft in elevation. It was simply easier to breathe. Everyone, instructors included, were still eager to get to know each other on deeper levels, and it has been a delight to watch the Lord bless their relationships over the miles together.

(There are lots of little 'tiendas'- shops- along the railroad tracks.)

(Dogs are everywhere in Peru...in all shapes and sizes, and the group has found them to be friendly companions on their journey.)
