Joshua Avila

Joshua Avila serves as a CCO Volunteer, reaching out to students at Indian River State College.

Joshua graduated from Trinity International University in 2020 with a degree in Organizational Leadership and from Flourish Institute of Theology in 2025 with a Master of Divinity degree. He serves as the assistant pastor at Indian River Presbyterian Church in Fort Pierce, Florida.

“Campus ministry represents the stage of early adulthood, where things like discernment, faith, identity, relationships, vocation, and education intersect in a unique and often overwhelming way,” says Joshua. “This presents inevitable challenges and opportunities, and the gospel speaks to all of it. I feel deeply compelled to join Jesus in His work among college students, and I have sensed an invitation to do so for this season.”
