Essence Truesdale

Essence Truesdale ministers to students at Colgate University as a CCO Catalyst Volunteer.

A 2020 graduate of Allegheny College, Essence earned a degree in Neuroscience and Psychology. She spent her first year on CCO staff as a Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh, and later served as a CCO Volunteer at Waynesburg University, PennWest Edinboro, and Allegheny College.

"I believe that everyone desires something or someone to put their hope in," says Essence. "A college campus is filled with opportunities for people to explore what they put their hope in. I want to teach college students about the hope that can only be found in Jesus Christ. I want to walk alongside of them as they discover what who they believe in and who they were meant to be."
