At Cornerstone (www.cornerstone220.org), our mission is to spread the message of Christ's love and welcome all into our community with open arms. We believe in creating an atmosphere of outreach and hospitality, where everyone feels welcomed and wanted. To further this mission, we are embarking on a fundraising initiative to raise $10,000.

The funds we raise will be allocated towards various essential aspects of Cornerstone. We recognize the importance of creating engaging and inviting environments for our outreach and inreach events. These fund will go towards:

• Welcome Back Week Events - During Pitt's orientation week, a portion of the funds will be allocated to outreach efforts specifically tailored to welcome new students to Pitt. We'll organize engaging events and activities aimed at connecting with incoming students, providing them with a warm and inviting introduction to Cornerstone. Whether through handing out water bottles, our welcome back picnic, or a giveaway, our goal is to extend a genuine sense of hospitality, laying the foundation for meaningful relationships and spiritual growth.
• Weekly Food at our Large Group Gathering - We intend to extend our hospitality by providing food for all attendees every Wednesday night, fostering meaningful connections and conversations over shared meals—a practice deeply rooted in Jesus' teachings.
• Outreach Events - A portion of the funds raised will be dedicated to our outreach events, designed to connect with students beyond the walls of our church. These events, such as our hot dog giveaway or our tea stand (SereniTea), serve as opportunities to spread the message of Christ's love in tangible ways, reaching out to our local community and beyond.
• Scholarships - We aim to eliminate any financial barriers that may hinder individuals from participating in our events. This means providing scholarships for those who may not otherwise be able to afford attending Spring Break trips, Retreats, or the Jubilee conference. We firmly believe that financial constraints should never stand in the way of someone's spiritual journey.

Ultimately, our goal is to create a space where individuals feel welcomed, supported, and empowered to deepen their faith and become more like Jesus. By investing in outreach events, hospitality initiatives, and scholarships, we are not only enriching the lives of those within our community but also spreading the message of Christ's love to a broader audience. Together, we can see Christ's Kingdom come to Pitt!
