Jeremy said yes to light and life in Jesus

At the beginning of the semester, Jeremy wasn't following Jesus.

In fact, if there was a god he worshiped, it was probably basketball.

So when he learned that a knee injury would keep him sidelined for the entirety of his sophomore season, Jeremy was devastated. Without basketball, he found himself without any sense of purpose or direction for his life. 

Recognizing his struggle, Jeremy's coach asked him to meet with Geraud, the CCO campus staff at his university. Before long, Jeremy agreed to read the Gospel of John with Geraud. When they opened the Scriptures together, Jeremy encountered the Word who is God, through whom all things are made. And then they read this in John 1:4-5: 

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. 

In the midst of a season of darkness, the promise of the light of Christ pierced Jeremy's heart, and he experienced a new desi

re. "I think I want that," he told Geraud.

Jeremy said yes to light and life in Jesus, and he continues to meet with Geraud to learn what it means to walk in his new faith. Praise God!
