For Parents
If your son or daughter is inquiring about employment with the CCO, you may find yourself asking a lot of questions, both about the CCO and the job itself. We are happy to help answer any questions you may have.
Many of us who work for the CCO are parents ourselves, and we understand that you want the best for your child. We are proud of our organization and all that we have to offer.
Your son or daughter will go through an extensive training program to equip them for campus ministry, and they will have the support of a campus ministry organization that has been around since 1971. We are a community of over 250 staff members who believe that every area of life matters to God.
Please know that we are fully committed to the success of our staff, and we want them to grow into the people that Christ has created them to be.
Frequently Asked Questions:

What insurance coverage and benefits are provided for CCO staff?
What kinds of support systems are available to first-year staff who are starting out?
The biggest reason that our staff cite for joining and remaining on staff with the CCO is the community of people they find here. We have an extensive two-year training program for our new staff, continuing education for veteran staff, and supervisors who are readily available, both at the CCO and within the partnership that your son or daughter will be working with.
Are there opportunities for CCO staff to further their education?
CCO staff members are trained extensively, beginning with eight weeks of summer training and an ongoing curriculum that spans their first two years. Continuing education continues throughout their time on staff, and all CCO staff members have the option of pursuing an accredited graduate degree at a discounted tuition rate.
I’m not familiar with support raising. How do your staff go about raising support and what help is provided for them?
Just like a pastor is paid by the generosity of a congregation, all CCO campus, support, and leadership staff members are paid through the giving of their ministry team and partnering organizations. Funds contributed to the CCO by individuals or churches which are designated for a specific staff person are used exclusively for their salary.
The CCO has a team of support-raising specialists who are committed to training our staff and assisting them in raising support. In addition, our staff are able to draw on the experiential wisdom of their colleagues.
Is it possible to live comfortably on a support-raised salary?
Salaries are competitive and are adjusted based on level of education, ministry experience, family needs, and standard of living. Our staff are able to pay off college loans, own homes, raise families, and live comfortably.
What insurance coverage and benefits are provided for CCO staff?
The CCO provides excellent health coverage, which includes medical/prescription, vision, and dental insurance. We also offer a retirement savings/401K plan with a matching program.
