CCO Fellow Jewel Villarroel reaches out to students at the University of Central Florida and Valencia College, Downtown Campus. 

Jewel graduated in 2021 from Rollins College with a degree in Business Management and a minor in Sociology.

“Students are at a particularly unique period of life in which they are often wrestling with and forming their personal conceptions and beliefs around questions of identity, faith, and how this might intersect (or not) with their existing worldview,” says Jewel. “I think it is not only an opportunity but the responsibility of the Church and of campus ministers to provide a place of challenge and encouragement for students to discover and embrace the Good News of the Gospel.”
