CCO recognized as Best Christian Place to Work

Awards | May 1, 2015

The CCO (Coalition for Christian Outreach) has been recognized as a Best Christian Workplace annually since 2002. The award is given out annually by the Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI) to recognize outstanding Christian workplaces.

Each year, employees from organizations around the country participate in the anonymous BCW survey. The survey measures employee job satisfaction, employee organizational commitment, supervisory effectiveness, opportunities for personal growth and development, teamwork and fairness of pay and benefits.

The not-so-secret key to the CCO receiving this distinction year after year is staff members’ confidence in the ministry’s leadership and clear understanding of the organization’s mission.

“The college years are a crossroad for so many students,” says Dan Dupee, President and CEO of the CCO, and a BCWI -recognized Outstanding Leader. “What happens during these years so often influences their lifestyle and faith. We have the privilege of helping college students incorporate their Christian faith into every avenue of life: as our mission says, ‘transforming college students to transform the world.’ Since being involved in the CCO’s ministry during my own college years, I’ve been convinced that this is probably the way college ministry ought to be done.”

The BCWI believes that Christian workplaces should set the standard as the best, most effective workplaces in the world. The Institute conducted its first survey in the fall of 2002 with the purpose of helping leaders of Christian organizations improve their culture.
