Community Board Partnerships
Sometimes a group of churches or individuals join together to help support ministry at a nearby college or university. By sharing the cost, a local community board has the satisfaction of bringing CCO ministry to a local campus.
At Clarion University of Pennsylvania, Koinonia Christian Fellowship partners with the CCO to support one staff person and hopes to add a second staff person soon. Members of the Koinonia board serve as university staff advisers, raise money to fund the staff position, and meet regularly to discuss fundraising efforts, receive ministry updates from staff, and give guidance and input into the ministry on campus. Koinonia board members also interact with students when they are able; they regularly attend the weekly fellowship on campus and host an annual Christmas study break party for students.
